How long does AC installation typically take?

The duration of AC installation can vary depending on factors like system type and space size. On average, it ranges from 4 to 8 hours. For a precise estimate, it’s best to consult with our technicians.

How often should I change my air filter?

Most homeowners in Bonita Springs should change their HVAC air filter every 1-3 months, depending on pets, allergies, filter type, and AC usage. Because Florida air conditioners run frequently year-round, filters can clog faster from dust, pollen, and humidity. Replacing your air filter regularly helps improve indoor air quality, lower energy bills, and reduce strain on your HVAC system. Homes with pets or allergies may benefit from changing filters every 30-60 days.

How often should I schedule AC maintenance?

We recommend scheduling regular AC maintenance at least once a year to ensure optimal efficiency. In Southwestern Florida’s climate, where AC is frequently used, customers often opt for bi-annual maintenance.

Is AC maintenance necessary, or can I skip it?

AC maintenance is crucial for both system longevity and efficiency. It helps identify potential issues, enhances energy efficiency, and ensures reliable performance when needed.

Why do I keep getting clogged drains?

Recurring drain clogs are often caused by everyday buildup such as grease, soap residue, food particles, hair, and debris. In Florida, environmental factors can also play a role, especially sand and fine sediment that can enter plumbing systems through shoes, outdoor drainage, laundry, or shower use after beach or yard activity. Over time, this combination can accumulate inside pipes and restrict flow, leading to frequent clogs. In some cases, older or partially damaged pipes can make the problem worse.

What should I do if I have a water leak in my home?

Turn off the main water supply immediately and contact a licensed plumber. Even small leaks can lead to structural damage, mold growth, and higher water bills if left untreated.

How long does a water heater typically last?

A typical water heater lasts about 8-12 years, depending on the type of system, water quality, maintenance history, and usage. In Florida, lifespan can sometimes be shorter due to humidity, hard water conditions, and higher system demand. Some homeowners may also be affected by insurance-related replacement guidelines, including the 15-year benchmark commonly referenced for older systems. You can read more about Florida-specific considerations and insurance factors here: “How Long Do Standard Water Heaters Typically Last?”

Why is my water pressure low in my house?

Low water pressure can be caused by pipe leaks, mineral buildup, faulty pressure regulators, partially closed valves, or municipal supply issues.

Why is indoor air quality (IAQ) important?

Indoor air quality is important because the air inside your home can directly affect your health, comfort, and HVAC system performance. Poor IAQ can contribute to allergies, respiratory irritation, and the spread of airborne contaminants such as dust, mold spores, and bacteria. In humid climates like Florida, excess moisture can also increase the risk of mold growth. Improving IAQ through proper filtration, ventilation, humidity control, and HVAC maintenance helps create a healthier living environment and can also improve system efficiency and longevity.

What HVAC services do you provide for residential homes?

We provide full residential HVAC services including air conditioning repair, installation, system replacement, preventative maintenance, ductwork repair, thermostat replacement, and indoor air quality improvements.

What plumbing services do you offer?

We provide a full range of plumbing services for residential customers, including clogged drain service, garbage disposal repair and installation, and leak repair. We also specialize in water heater services, including storage tank and tankless water heater replacement, repair, and maintenance. In addition, we install and service water treatment solutions such as reverse osmosis systems and whole-home water filtration systems to improve water quality and protect plumbing systems.

Why is my air conditioner running but not cooling my home?

This is often caused by low refrigerant, dirty air filters, frozen coils, thermostat issues, or compressor problems. A professional inspection is recommended to diagnose the exact cause.

How do I know if my air conditioner needs repair or replacement?

If your AC is over 10–15 years old, frequently breaks down, struggles to cool, or causes high energy bills, it may be more cost-effective to replace it rather than continue repairs. We recommend our customers follow the $5,000 HVAC rule to help decide whether to repair or replace: multiply the age of the system (in years) by the repair cost. If the result is over $5,000, replacement is usually more cost-effective. If it’s under $5,000, repair is often the better option.

Example: 10-year-old system x $600 repair = $6,000 = likely better to replace

What are signs my HVAC system needs maintenance?

Common signs include weak airflow, uneven temperatures, unusual noises, rising energy bills, and longer run times. These indicate the system is struggling and may need servicing.

Is a lack of AC considered a maintenance emergency?

While a lack of AC can be uncomfortable, it’s typically not considered a maintenance emergency. However, if extreme temperatures or health concerns are involved, please contact us for immediate assistance.
